What the app processes SideClock processes the scenes, clock styles, positions, display settings and media you choose to render your clock display. Selected photos and videos are read through Android's selected-media picker and copied into private app storage. Copies may retain embedded metadata because the app does not strip it. This version does not request broad photo-library access. Scene and display settings are saved in private Android preferences. The app also uses screen, lock and fold/display state, and may use the ambient light sensor for automatic brightness. Android handles device authentication; SideClock does not receive your PIN, password or biometric template.
Developer transmission and diagnostics This version contains no Internet permission, app-owned network endpoint, advertising SDK, Advertising ID access, analytics uploader or crash-reporting uploader. Operational and error messages, including brightness/sensor and lock/display state, may be written to the local Android diagnostic log. SideClock does not upload these through app telemetry. Android, the device manufacturer, Google Play and media providers operate separate services under their own practices.
Support email If you voluntarily email support.dksoft@gmail.com, dksoft may process your email address, message and any attachments you provide to respond to your support or privacy inquiry. Support correspondence is separate from app data and Android backup. Please avoid passwords or unnecessary sensitive information. The email service provider processes correspondence under its own service practices. This policy does not promise a fixed retention or deletion deadline. Contact the address above to ask about your correspondence or request deletion; applicable requirements and the information necessary to handle the inquiry affect how a request can be addressed.
Android backup and device transfer SideClock version 1.0.6 opts out of Android automatic cloud backup and cloud restore. On Android 8 through Android 11 (API26-30), the app uses allowBackup=false; legacy backup and restore, including legacy transfer behavior, are controlled by Android's opt-out handling. On Android 12 and higher (API31+), all supported app-storage domains are excluded from cloud backup by data-extraction rules. No additional device-transfer exclusions are configured. Some manufacturers can still transfer app data directly between devices despite allowBackup=false. Such transfer depends on the device and its setup tools and is not guaranteed. This update does not delete existing settings or imported media on the current device. Automatic restoration after reinstalling the app or moving to another device may not be available. This change does not establish that an earlier version's existing backup has been deleted; manage such copies through Android or your backup provider.
Purpose, storage and your controls Local processing enables scene editing and your selected lock-screen or ambient display. Media import is optional. Stop disables app display modes and the service; it does not delete your scene or media. Removing an element or replacing media may leave earlier imported copies in app storage. Clear SideClock app storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app, to remove local settings and imported app copies. This does not remove original media from its source provider or ensure deletion of earlier OS backups. The app has no account registration.
Permissions and background display The app declares wallpaper, foreground-service/specialUse, notification, display-over-other-apps and wake-lock permissions. Applicable display modes require Android permissions and Save. An ongoing notification and the app provide Stop controls. Display and battery behavior depend on the device and settings. SideClock does not replace Android security.
Audience, requests and updates SideClock is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It has no age-registration or app-account workflow. 권한 및 백그라운드 표시 앱은 배경화면, 포그라운드 서비스/specialUse, 알림, 다른 앱 위에 표시 및 wake-lock 권한을 선언합니다. 해당 표시 모드는 Android 권한과 저장이 필요합니다. 지속 알림과 앱에서 중지할 수 있습니다. 표시 및 배터리 동작은 기기와 설정에 따라 달라집니다. SideClock은 Android 보안을 대체하지 않습니다.
